These packets explain how to wear a ring sling, how to thread a ring sling, and has more great information for babywearing with a ring sling. We also offer more safety information online. Here are some of the custom illustrations we created and some of the information available in each packet.

Getting Started

Slide dominant arm through the opening of the sling. Wear the sling on shoulder like a sash. Create a deep pouch for the baby to sit in.

Tummy Carry For Newborns and Toddlers

Hold baby carefully over shoulder with one hand. At the same time slide free hand under pouch, hold baby’s feet, and guide feet down through the fabric while lowering the baby into position. Feet should be out of the pouch. Make sure to have a piece of fabric as far under baby’s bottom as possible. Tighten the bottom rail for a snug fit. Tighten the top rail to support baby's back.

Hip Carry For Babies With Strong Head Control

Hold baby carefully over shoulder with one hand. At the same time slide free hand under pouch, hold baby’s feet, and guide feet down through the fabric. Position baby on hip with baby's knees straddling carrier’s hip. Feet should be out of pouch. Make sure to have a piece of fabric as far under baby’s bottom as possible. Tighten the bottom rail for a snug fit. Baby should enjoy a nice deep seat. Tighten the top rail to support baby's back.

Thank you for taking extra special care of your little loves while connecting through babywearing. We will continue to develop more educational visuals, videos, and blogs to help our babywearing followers.
