An Oklahoma graphic design company built with elbow grease and hard work.
A native Oklahoman, Amy grew up finding wonder all around her, particularly the natural landscape of her home. She also developed a strong work ethic while living on her grandparents’ ostrich farm as a young girl. Her innate eye for symmetry and ability to find beauty in the natural world led her to a life-long love of art.
Amy studied Graphic Design and received her BFA from the University of Central Oklahoma. She started designing professionally as an Art Director for an ad agency in 2006. After this, she began working for a design group, building websites and print designs for hundreds of companies.
Sam grew up in the UAE. His father worked for the government of UAE, and his mother served at the Indian Embassy. He had a giving family that taught him the importance of serving others and giving back to the community. It is a value that still guides his personal and professional life today.
He came to the United States for studies and earned his BSC at Lee University. He shared God’s word in the US and abroad, and in 2000, transitioned into the medical field. Here, he continued to care for people, built medical teams, led clinic events, and learned the art of superior customer service.
They're Real People
myheartcreative was initially founded as a blog in 2010. In 2013, however, Amy used her design skills to create a baby ring sling that met her personal needs. With Sam’s vision and support, a product line launched that would eventually become Two Feathers Babywearing.
Amy continued working on graphic designs in Oklahoma, but she and Sam were new parents, trying to balance their careers with the growing needs of their family. She soon left her day job.
THEY BUILT A COMPANY FROM THE GROUND UP
In 2014, they built their in-home studio where they could work while caring for their children. There were quite a few growing pains, in the beginning, starting
myheartcreative. They both worked non-stop and had to juggle multiple part-time jobs while growing both a company and family. The struggles just reminded them to focus on building their vision of owning a business that supports their family as well as the families of their employees.
The company continued to grow. With the support of additional team members,
myheartcreative quickly expanded to offer exceptional logo, web, and print design services to clients across the nation. In 2015, Sam and Amy knew that it was time for a larger space and began work on their Oklahoma design studio. Soon, Sam transitioned to the full-time Operations Director, leaving all other work behind.
