FAQs on drone photography OKC:

Do I have to hire a Certified Drone Operator for my project?

Yes, your commercial drone operator must have passed the FAA Part 107 and be from a reputable company with registered and insured drones. Partnering with a certified drone operator will ensure that your aerial images are captured safely and in compliance with FAA standards.

Additionally, the operator will know the region’s flight plan requirements and will handle all necessary airspace authorizations and safety protocols ahead of time.

How much advance notice is necessary when booking?

According to the FAA, different air class spaces require specific notifications/permissions. Some can take approximately 30 days to provide permission for a flight, so consider this when scheduling a drone photography OKC or drone videography session.

What can you photograph as a drone photographer?

Professional drone photographers and videographers can successfully capture a variety of settings and events. At myheartcreative, our experience ranges from landscapes and cattle to roofing, construction, and even local skyline photography. We are also experienced in aerial wedding photography and videography to capture the beauty of your big day.

Can you take pictures at night?

Currently, night flights are permitted under specific FAA guidelines, including the use of anti-collision lighting. We can discuss these options if your project requires nighttime imagery.

Can you fly over people?

The FAA does not permit flying directly over people. However, a good pilot can still take creative photos and videos of people without flying directly over them.

Can you fly your drone while riding in a moving vehicle for my video?

Yes. As long as it is NOT in a densely populated area, this is permitted per FAA.gov. During a drone photography or video session, myheartcreative’s drone pilot can ride in the vehicle but will not be driving the vehicle.

How high can you fly for drone photography OKC?

Multiple factors determine how high a drone can fly. The airspace, clouds, total height AGL, etc., along with flight conditions and your project’s parameters, will determine how high your pilot will fly. You will get the best visuals when working with experts who understand the FAA parameters.
