Quit My Design Job

Aug 22, 2014 | Personal

It’s over?

I quit. It’s not an easy thing for someone like me to say. I pride myself on being faithful, dependable, and loyal. Over the years these values have only intensified. So to leave a job I’ve enjoyed working at for 6 years was a big decision. Before working for the Oklahoma web design firm I resigned from I worked for an advertising agency for 2 years. I’ve really enjoyed all the clients, learning, designing, and opportunities working for other companies has provided, but I’m ready for the next chapter.

It’s only the beginning.

I’m ready to grow. As you know myheartcreative’s blog has always had some personal post and that will continue. I’ll be growing as an individual, professional, and small business owner and sharing the journey as always. My husband and partner, Sam, helped me develop myheartcreative into a full service design studio. We will continue to build on our creative roots and watch our studio blossom into our dreams.

Quitting my job is going to give me a more flexible schedule for my family and provide more time for me to focus on Two Feathers products as well as myheartcreative’s design services. There’s a lot of sewing and creating to do! So no fear, Sam and I are jumping in and we’re off to a great start. myheartcreative is currently accepting new clients and offering expertise in these areas:

  • Website Design
  • Stationery Package
  • Print Design
  • Ad Design
  • Invitation Design
  • Logo Design

Sam and Amy high five as they begin their journey as myheartcreative.

My daughter got to play a sport this year! She played soccer in a YMCA league and really had a blast. I loved seeing her do something new, something where she learned to navigate the art of teamwork, and stretch herself physically. I think one of my favorite...
